Luna and Matilda

Post by Dangerousbeans on Thu Jan 02, 2014 10:13 pm

Well December was rough, Matilda's tumour got very large, it hadn't grown a huge amount in November.
We were watching closely for signs it was time, but she was her usual lucky cuddly self, then suddenly on December 1st luna didn't look well, she just wanted my daughter to cuddle her, and her breathing was a bit rough, it had been before a few times but usually improved very quickly, we used a little olbas oil in hot water and got her breathing steam, she improved but was very quiet, she wasn't using her front paws much, but we left her in her blanket snuggled up with her sisters while we had dinner. I found her dead shortly after. She was fine a few hours before.

On December 21st we decided it was time for Matilda, we think she was having trouble peeing due to the size of the tumour and her climbing was very limited, vet agreed it was time.

So the two girls are buried in the garden under lavender bushes, blue for Matilda and I think Luna's one is white (grown from slips from dad's garden, I mixed up pots so until they flower, not sure)
Both girls were only around 20 months.

Just the two bongo fury girls left now.
Will post pics later, on phone now.
