Appropriate Rat Cage?

Post by SkyGazey on Mon May 26, 2014 4:50 am

I've been thinking about getting a rat, and if I were to get one, what kind of cage would I get?

I'm not exactly sure how many rats I would be getting, so that might not be much help, sorry, :c

But any advice would be nice, thank you~ c:

Well, you definitely want at least 2 rats Wink

There is so much choice out there! Some good reading here:

Good luck! Grin

Thank you. ^^

How much would a cage cost exactly? I know it would depend on the size, but any help would be great. c:

Really can cost anything you are happy to pay - into the several hundreds, from about €20 if you buy second hand. Smile www.zooplus.ie used to sell some good cages Smile

Hi !!
I am not a specialist... I think that is the minimum advised size Smile .
But on my opinion it is too small Meh ... the first cage of my rats was that size but they like climbing so much (actually I think they like being at my eye level hehe !) that I increased the heigh of the cage, it is now 1.6 m Big Grin !
If you are crafty, you could build one yourself Smile !!
