After constant badgering....

Post by Tribble on Sun Oct 14, 2012 7:43 am

Have been meaning to join for... oh eight months.... when we were organising our first pair.
But I procrastinate Embarrassed

Anyway, my name is Jack, myself and my partner Ben have had four rats in total.

Bebop Tribble and Rocksteady Tribble were our first pair; two male Russian Blue Self; we fell in love immediately. Love
Unfortunately, Bebop suffered from some unexpected complications while he was recovering to a simple respiratory infection a few months back, and passed suddenly.

We were lucky enough to find two other little babbies three weeks later.
Indy Squidge-Tribble, a brown and white Hooded Dumbo; he had a habit of climbing on the ceiling of their temporary housing, despite him barely being able to lift his own body-weight, and is too curious for his own good.
Cringer Squidge-Tribble, a silvery-fawn Irish rat; he tends to alternate between brave and timid, and being slightly older than Indy, Rocksteady tends to pick on him more.

Took only a few days to have them fully integrated, with daily meetings and playtimes.
The happy trio have now been bothering each other, scuffling, and napping together in the one cage since Big Grin

We didn't know what to expect with the pair, as they were rescues.
It's a little refreshing to be able to tell who is who at a glance; this was not the case previously.
We had a few minor tells to be able to tell Rocky and Bebop apart, but now it's so much easier knowing who is who Laugh

That is helpful, as I know from experience! Smile if you'd had boys from this litter (sod's law of course!) they'd have been both the same too! So I'm glad you got rescues you can tell apart - and it's lovely to see a couple of minks too! Grin
