Rat carrier

Post by Diggerdawg on Mon Dec 03, 2012 3:44 am

Hi all. I'm new here and expecting my first rats this December. I'm wondering if you have any recommendations for pet carriers. I'll be picking up two 10 week old (roughly) boys and will need to have about a 4 hour journey by car home. I also want to have one that will suit them into adulthood in case I need it for trips to vet etc. is it best to get one carrier to fit both or two smaller ones. Can you give me any advice or recommendations. Thanks a million and I can't wait to chat more. Smile

Hello Smile

One carrier to fit both is normally fine - there are all sorts available Smile have a look in local petshops - cat carriers with small bar spacings are fine, but dedicated pet carriers seem to be a favourite.

This is quite a good one:

But delivery in time may be a problem. Do a google search for Ferplast Aladino carrier and also Pawprint carriers - they are popular. Perhaps on Amazon? Smile I expect when you know the sort of thing you're after though, you'll find them in a petshop Smile

Where are you getting ratties from? Grin
