Walking the her head tilted

Post by GillianK on Thu Jan 10, 2013 1:09 am

My rat Betty (the one whose being bullied by another of my rats) has started walking with her head tilted to the left. Even when she stops its still tilted. Shes able to run about, eat and groom etc, but with this head tilt. What does this mean?

Sounds like an ear infection.

Yes I think an ear infection too. I've started her on baytril (hid it in jam!) and I've been giving her a tiny bit of calpol too to make her feel well enough to eat and drink so she has a good chance of getting better. Fingers crossed she comes round from this for shes had such a hard time with the bullying and is a little sweetheart.
